We spend most of our time here at C-65 in Old Kanti Nagar. It’s a busy spot near Krishna Nagar where the streets stay pretty crowded with people and carts all day long. Dealing with diesel engines means there is usually some oil on the floor and a bit of noise from the machines running in the back. It’s not a fancy place, but it works for what we do. People around here know us for being at this same spot for quite a while now. Some mornings start early when the first delivery trucks come through the narrow lanes. We mostly just focus on the repairs and the mechanical parts that come in. There is always a lot of tea going around while we look at the engine blocks. Delhi heat can be tough in the summer, especially with the metal everywhere, but we just keep the fans going. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just part of being in this neighborhood. Our office is just a small room with a desk and some old ledgers.
