Netrutvathon India Foundation operates out of U 180 on the main Vikash Marg in Shakarpur. If you know the area, you know how hectic Vikash Marg gets with all the cars and buses constantly zooming by. Our office is right there in the thick of it. It’s a practical location because it’s easy for people to find us, even if the noise from the road never really stops. We do a lot of work related to leadership and helping people find their feet in different jobs. The office itself is pretty plain. We have some chairs, a few big tables for meetings, and a computer that’s seen better days. We don't have a big team, just a handful of us who show up every morning and try to figure out a way to help the people who walk through our door. Sometimes the office feels a bit disorganized because we have so many projects going on at once. We might be talking to a group of students one hour and then trying to fix a leaky pipe the next. It’s just the reality of running a small foundation. We don’t have any corporate backing, so we have to be careful with how we spend everything. It’s honest work, and being here in Shakarpur puts us right where the action is. Most days we stay late just to catch up on paperwork. We keep the kettle going all day long.
