Mohit Architecture

Our office is located in Lakshmi Nagar, specifically at J & K Blocks 20. It's a busy residential area, so there’s always people walking by and noise from the street. We’ve been based here for a while, and the neighbors are used to seeing us coming and going with rolls of paper. Mohit started this place to help folks around here with their building plans. We don't have a polished corporate office with glass walls; it’s more of a functional space where we can get work done. Most of the time we are busy drawing up layouts for houses or small shops. We spend a lot of time discussing things with clients, trying to figure out how to make their ideas work within the space they have. It’s a lot of measuring and re-measuring. We don’t go in for big speeches or fancy presentations. We just show the drawings and explain why things are placed where they are. Sometimes we have to tell people their idea won’t work because of the structure, which isn’t always fun. Lakshmi Nagar is a good place to work because we are close to the projects we handle. Our team is small, and we mostly just focus on the task at hand. There’s always a lot of tea drinking and talking about site visits. It’s a plain, honest way to earn a living in the architecture field. We usually stay late when a deadline is coming up fast.
