Mk Helping Hand Foundation

Our place, the Mk Helping Hand Foundation, is at A-26 on the ground floor in Gali Number 5, Chande. We are right near the MCD School in Mandawali, East Delhi 110092. It is a busy street, especially when the school lets out and the kids are all around. We like the energy of this part of Delhi. The office is a simple room where we keep our supplies and do our planning. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We have a few old desks and some mismatched chairs, but it works for what we need. Most of us who work here grew up in East Delhi, so we know the area well. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who stop by with questions. We don’t have a big marketing plan or a polished image. We just try to help out where we can. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up or we run out of stationary, but we manage. It’s a very local operation. We don’t use big words or try to sound more important than we are. We are just neighbors helping neighbors, really. If you are ever near the MCD school, you will probably see us. We keep the door open most of the time so people feel welcome to just come in and say hello. It feels more like a community hub than anything else and we enjoy the daily interactions.
