Mi Auto Center

If you ever find yourself near the bus stop in Seelampur, you’ve probably walked right past us at Mi Auto Center. We are located at Plot No. E5/18 on the Main Road in Chauhan Bangur. It’s a very noisy spot because of all the traffic and the people waiting for their buses all day long. Our shop is usually covered in a thin layer of road dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it out. We spend most of our time hunched over engines or looking under cars that have seen better days. The walls are stained with old grease, and we have calendars from five years ago still hanging up because nobody bothered to take them down. Working on the main road means we see everything that happens in Seelampur. We know the bus drivers by sight, and they often wave when they go past. It’s a tight space, and we often have to shuffle cars around like a puzzle just to get one out of the bay. My hands are almost always black with soot and oil, which makes it hard to use a phone or sign papers. We don't have a fancy office, just a stool and a small counter where we keep the keys. It’s a messy, busy life, but it’s what we know. When the sun sets, we pull the shutter down, wash up as best as we can, and head home to do it all again tomorrow.
