We’re located at IX/6427 Mukherjee Gali in Gandhi Nagar. If you’ve ever been to Gandhi Nagar, you know it’s a total maze and always packed with people and carts. Our shop is tucked away in one of those narrow lanes that never seem to be empty. It’s been the family business for a while now. My dad used to run things here and now it’s more on me to handle the daily operations. We don’t have a lot of space inside, so we have to be really smart about where we put the stock. It’s noisy and busy from early morning until late at night. Sometimes the delivery guys have a hard time finding our entrance because it's so small compared to others. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or expensive marketing campaigns. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to Mukherjee Gali for years to find what they need. We just focus on getting the orders out on time to keep things moving. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes my back hurts by the end of a long shift. But it’s definitely good to be busy. We know all the other shopkeepers on the street, and we try to help each other out when we can. It’s a real community here and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We are just a small shop trying to do a decent job for people.
