Max Balaji Hospital

Max Balaji Hospital is over at 108 A in Indraprastha Extension, right across from the Sanchar Apartment in Patparganj. It is a busy part of the city, and finding a good parking spot near the entrance is almost impossible after nine in the morning. The building is quite tall, and the windows look out over the residential blocks nearby. We have a lot of people coming in from the apartments across the street, so the lobby usually has a steady hum of conversation. The air conditioning works well in some rooms but can be a bit patchy in the hallways, so we often have small desk fans running to stay cool. We have a canteen on the ground floor that smells like toasted sandwiches and tea most of the afternoon. The staff is always on the move, and you can hear the squeak of rubber shoes on the linoleum floors all day. It is a big operation to keep track of, and sometimes the paperwork gets piled up on the nurses' stations. We try to keep things organized, but when it gets busy, it can feel a bit chaotic. The lift is a bit slow and makes a mechanical clunking sound when it reaches the top floor, which we are all just used to now. It is a solid, functional place that serves the people living in the extension.
