Mariyada Foundation

You can find Mariyada Foundation over in Ashok Nagar, tucked away in Gali Number 1. We are on the ground floor, which makes it easier for people to find us, especially since we’re right behind those DDA MG flats. The area is quite residential, so it feels like being part of a neighborhood rather than some cold business district. We have been working out of this space for a bit now, dealing with the usual ups and downs of running a small foundation. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can sit down and focus on the tasks at hand. We get a lot of noise from the street sometimes, kids playing or bikes going past, but that’s just life here. People from the nearby flats often stop by to ask what we’re up to. We just tell them we’re trying to help out where we can. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We take things one day at a time and try not to get bogged down in too much red tape. The door is usually open during the day unless it’s too dusty outside. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture or high-tech gear, just the basics like a few desks and chairs to keep things moving. It feels right being located right here where people actually live. We’re just regular folks trying to make a small difference in the daily lives of those around us.
