Lancelet Foundation

We are located on the third floor of S-294, right in the front side of the building. This is in the School Block of Shakarpur, which is a very crowded part of East Delhi. The climb up to the third floor is a good workout since there isn't an elevator. By the time you get to the Lancelet Foundation office, you’re usually a bit out of breath. The view from the front side isn't much, just the street and the school nearby, but it lets in a good amount of light during the day. We have a few desks pushed together to make one big workspace. It’s a bit noisy because of the school kids and the traffic below, but we’ve gotten used to the sound. Sometimes we have to shout over the honking if we’re on the phone. The office is full of stacks of paper and empty tea cups by the end of the afternoon. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map. It’s a practical space for practical work. We spend most of our time coordinating things and talking to the people who manage to make it up all those stairs. It’s a simple life here in Shakarpur. We try to keep things running smoothly without making it too complicated. It’s just us doing what we can from this small third-floor room without needing any luxury to get the job done.
