Kusum Gupta Clinic

Kusum Gupta Clinic is tucked inside Manish Plaza in Mandaoli. Manish Plaza isn’t one of those glass skyscrapers; it’s a sturdy, older building that houses all sorts of small offices. We are just one of them. Finding us is pretty easy once you get inside. The clinic itself is quite small. It’s basically just one main room where the doctor sees everyone. We have a few chairs lined up against the wall for people to wait. The paint is a light color, maybe off-white, and there are some old posters about health on the walls. Mandaoli is a crowded place, so we get a lot of people coming in with various aches and pains. Dr. Kusum Gupta has been here a while, and most of the patients are people from the nearby blocks who have been coming for years. We don't use any fancy computer systems for checking in; it’s mostly just a paper logbook and a pen. It’s a bit old-fashioned but it works for us. The windows look out onto the street, so you can see the rickshaws passing by all day. It’s a quiet enough spot once the door is closed. We just try to help out whoever walks through that door, one person at a time, without making a big deal out of anything. The hallway outside can be a bit dark, but our door is always open.
