We are located in Pratap Nagar, Mayur Vihar Phase I. Our address is a bit confusing for people because it used to be Old No. 86-A, but now it is New No-166. Most of the local delivery people know us by now, though. We have been here long enough that we have become part of the neighborhood. The office is small and a bit tucked away, which actually suits us just fine. We do not need a lot of space to do what we do. Mostly, we focus on helping out the families around here and making sure the kids have what they need for school. Some days we are sorting through piles of donations, and other days we are just sitting and listening to people’s stories. It is a lot of emotional work, but we would not want to do anything else. The team is mostly made up of volunteers and a couple of us who stay here full-time. We do not have a lot of funding, so we have to be very careful with every bit of money we get. The walls could really use a fresh coat of paint, and the old fan in the corner makes a weird clicking sound, but it gets the job done. We drink a lot of tea and spend most of our time on our feet. It is a simple operation run by local people who care.
