Kat Katha Foundation

You can find us at Gazipur, in one of the DDA SFS flats at B-10/1. Gazipur is a busy area, and the site where we are is right in the middle of all that activity. The flat is not very big, so we have to be careful about how much stuff we keep. Kat Katha Foundation is basically run from a few desks squeezed into the rooms. The walls are a bit plain, and we have some old posters up to cover the marks. It is a real place where real work happens. We do not have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door so people do not get lost in the block. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down. Sometimes the smell from the nearby market reaches us, but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend a lot of time just talking and figuring things out. There is no big boss with a private office; we all just sit together in the main room. The kitchen area is mostly used for making endless rounds of coffee. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but it is not too bad once you know the way. We like being in a DDA flat because it feels more grounded. We aren't tucked away in some shiny glass tower. We are right here where everyone else is living. It is simple and a bit messy.
