Kapil Buttan

If you’ve ever been to Preet Vihar, you know how busy it gets near the Nirman Vihar area. Our office at B-65 is right in the middle of all that action. Kapil Buttan has been working out of this spot for a while now. It’s a bit of a walk from the metro station, but not too bad unless it’s raining hard or the sun is beating down. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some old wooden desks that have been with us since the beginning and a few shelves that are leaning a bit because of all the heavy books and files on them. It’s not the quietest place because you can always hear the horns and the street vendors outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't really do the whole formal office thing here. Most of the time, we're just in shirts and trousers, trying to figure out the best way to handle the day's tasks. There’s a lot of paper moving back and forth. Sometimes we lose a pen or a stapler under a pile, and it takes us ten minutes to find it. We usually order lunch from the small shop around the corner. It’s a very local way of doing things. We aren't looking to grow into some huge corporation; we just like having our own space here in B-65 where we can do our work and talk to the people who come to see us. It’s just a normal day for us.
