Incredible Social Welfare Foundation

Our office is tucked away on the third floor of the Heera Complex, which is right in the middle of School Block in Shakarpur. It’s office number 7. If you know where Baba Palace is, we are directly opposite that building. East Delhi can be very crowded, and Shakarpur is definitely no exception to that rule. There are always people moving around the market and students heading to their classes. The climb up to the third floor gets us some exercise since we don’t always rely on the lift if it’s busy. Inside, the Incredible Social Welfare Foundation has a pretty simple setup. We have some basic furniture and a couple of computers. It gets quite noisy outside with the traffic and the shops, but we’ve gotten used to it. The Heera Complex is a busy place with lots of different small businesses. Sometimes it’s hard to find the right entrance because there are so many signs everywhere. We spend our days mostly handling the administrative side of things and talking to folks who stop by. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place for us to work. We have a small window that looks out over the street, though there isn't much of a view. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We keep things running as best as we can from our little corner here.
