Ijm (Infrastructure) India Ltd.(Malaysian Firm)

Working out of Dilshad Garden in Delhi means dealing with a lot of noise and activity every day. We are located in R-Block, at number 62B. This is the Delhi office for Ijm (Infrastructure) India Ltd., which is a Malaysian firm, but most of us working here are local. The office is pretty straightforward. We have some desks, a shared kitchen area, and lots of folders from various infrastructure jobs. Delhi summers are no joke, so the AC is usually running full blast from May onwards. We spend a lot of time on the phone with various government departments or checking on site conditions. The paperwork for this kind of work is endless, so there’s always someone at the desk typing away. We don’t really bother with fancy decorations or anything. It’s more about having a functional space where we can get through the day’s tasks. Lunch usually happens at our desks or at the small dhaba around the corner. We get projects from all over, so sometimes people are traveling for days at a time. When they come back, the office gets a bit more crowded and loud. We just focus on the task at hand. It’s not a flashy environment, just a place where we manage the logistics and the technical details of our infrastructure work. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it feels a bit more quiet than the main city centers, which is nice when we have to concentrate.
