Iis

Our workspace for Iis is inside Maa Kushmunda Apartments in New Delhi. Specifically, we are in unit S-470. It’s a residential building, so the vibe is very different from those big office parks you see in other parts of the city. We have a few rooms where we’ve set up our computers and filing cabinets. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when all of us are in at the same time. The elevator in the building is a bit old and can be slow, so we often find ourselves taking the stairs to get to our floor. New Delhi 110092 is a busy area with a lot of traffic, but once you’re inside the apartment, it’s relatively quiet. We handle various information services from here. It’s not a polished corporate environment. There are no cubicles or receptionists in suits. We just pull up a chair wherever there’s space. Most of our day is spent looking at data and making sure our records are right. We make our own tea in the small kitchen and usually eat lunch together at one of the desks. The walls are covered with notes and calendars. It’s a bit messy, but it’s a functional space where we get things done. We’ve been here for several years and have gotten to know the neighbors well. It’s a practical way to run things without all the unnecessary overhead of a big office.
