Laxminagar is a crowded place, and our office at D-233 in Gali Number 10 is right in the thick of it. Hyderabad Industries Ltd is based here in this busy part of New Delhi where the lanes are narrow and there’s always someone shouting or a scooter honking outside. It’s not the kind of place you’d find a big multinational, but it works for us. We’re on one of the upper floors, so we get a bit of a view of the rooftops. The office is packed with papers, samples, and a few desks squeezed together. It gets pretty hot in the summer, and the air conditioner struggles to keep up, so we usually have a couple of extra fans going. We deal with a lot of the local distribution and logistics from this office. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking lists. We don't have a fancy reception area. If someone comes to visit, they usually just pull up a plastic chair and we talk over a cup of chai from the stall downstairs. The rhythm of the place is fast because that’s just how Delhi is. We try to keep things organized, but it can get chaotic when a lot of things happen at once. We’re just a group of people doing our jobs in a busy neighborhood, trying to keep everything on track without making a big deal out of it. It is just the daily grind in the city.
