High Speed Tyres & Batteries

You can find us at Number 47 in Madhu Vihar, over in the Mohan Park area. It’s easy to spot because of the stacks of tyres out front. The shop is basically a big garage space with a small counter in the corner. It smells like rubber and oil all the time, which you get used to after the first week. We have a lot of batteries lined up on the metal racks against the wall. The floor is stained with all sorts of things, but we sweep it every evening before closing. It’s a noisy spot with the air compressor running and the traffic from the road right there. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of plastic chairs tucked away near the desk. Most people just stand around and watch while we work. The sun hits the front of the shop in the morning, making it pretty bright. We have some old tools that have been around since we opened. Madhu Vihar is a busy neighborhood and there is always someone needing something fixed or replaced. We don’t do a lot of talking, we just get to the task. It’s a simple business. We open up the shutters at nine and keep going until the sun sets. The name High Speed Tyres & Batteries is on a board that’s seen better days, but people know where we are and what we do here. It’s just regular daily work. We get by.
