If you know Shakarpur, you know how busy the lanes can get around here. Harishita Chit Fund Private Limited is based out of Sunder Block, specifically B-14 on the ground floor. It is in Gali No.1, which is usually quite crowded with people going about their business. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for folks to just drop by without having to climb a lot of stairs. We mostly deal with the people living and working in East Delhi who want to participate in a chit. We handle the collection and the monthly paperwork that comes with running these groups. It is a small setup, just a desk and some chairs for when people come to pay their installments. We keep everything local because it is easier to trust people you see every day in the market. Shakarpur 110092 is our home base. Sometimes the noise from the street gets in, but that is just how it is in this part of Delhi. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure the math is right and everyone gets their turn. People stop by to chat about their families as much as they do about the chit fund. We have been here at B-14 for some time now and most people in Gali No.1 know where to find us if they need anything. It’s a very hands-on kind of job with a lot of record-keeping in old ledgers.
