Our place is over at A-43 on the first floor in Kabir Nagar. It’s right on Street number 1, so it’s pretty easy to find if you know the area. We have been in this part of Delhi for a long time now. The office is just a regular room with some basic furniture and a lot of papers stacked in the corners. We do our work here quietly, mostly focusing on helping out the local community. It’s a family-style environment, really. We don’t have receptionists or big waiting rooms. You just walk up the stairs and we’re right there. The street outside is always full of life, with vendors and people moving about, which we like. Inside, it’s mostly us drinking tea and planning what to do next. We don’t go for anything flashy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. It’s a practical space for practical people. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the neighbors and their families. It makes the work feel more personal. We spend our days answering questions and trying to be helpful where it counts. It’s not about being a big organization; it’s just about being part of Kabir Nagar. We stay open late sometimes when there’s a lot to do, but we don’t mind. It’s just part of the daily grind for us here at the foundation.
