Gyan Painter

I run Gyan Painter out of a small place at D-1/178 in Mayur Vihar Phase III. The shop sits right on the New Kondli Main Road, so it is always busy and a bit loud with all the traffic passing by. I have been painting houses and shops in this area for a long time now. My hands are almost always covered in some kind of primer or paint splatter, which just comes with the job. It is not a glamorous business by any means. Most of my day is spent moving ladders, mixing colors in plastic buckets, and making sure the edges look straight. The shop itself is mostly a storage space for my brushes, rollers, and cans of paint that I’ve saved from previous jobs. I don't have a secretary or a computer to track things; I just write down what needs to be done in a small notebook I keep in my pocket. People in Mayur Vihar know they can find me here if they need a room freshened up or a gate painted. I usually walk or take my cycle to nearby jobs because the traffic on the main road can be a real headache. It is just me and a couple of helpers when the work gets heavy. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just show up, put the paint on the walls, and move on to the next house.
