Ganeshi Devi Foundation

Our place is located on the ground floor of house number 93. It’s right in the Kishan Kunj Extension part of Laxmi Nagar. If you know Gali Number 8 you can find us pretty easily. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time. We like being on the ground floor because it’s easy for people to just walk in from the street. New Delhi can be a hectic place but this corner of East Delhi feels a bit more settled. We’ve been at this address for some time. The office isn't anything special to look at but it serves its purpose for the foundation. We have a few rooms and a small area where we sit. Dealing with the 110092 zip code means we are right in the middle of a lot of activity. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up because the house numbers can be confusing. We just sort it out. There are plenty of shops nearby so getting supplies isn't a headache. We don't really do much in the way of decorating. It’s just walls and a roof. Most of the time we’re just focused on the daily tasks. It feels good to have a permanent spot in a neighborhood like this. We know the tea stall guy and the local shops. It makes it feel like we belong here. We have a small bench outside the door where the delivery guys sometimes sit. The ceiling fan in the main room wobbles a bit if you put it on high.
