Friend International

Our office is over at R-35 in Ramesh Park, Laxmi Nagar. The name Friend International makes it sound like we have a massive skyscraper, but we are actually just in a regular building on a busy street. It’s a practical place where we handle all the logistics and paperwork for the items we deal with. The desks are usually covered in shipping labels and ledgers. We have been at this address long enough that the local couriers don’t even need to look at the sign anymore. The area is always buzzing with people, and the sounds of horns and shouting from the street come right through the windows. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure everything gets to where it needs to go. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists. There isn't much in the way of decoration, maybe just a calendar on the wall and a few old photos. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when the afternoons get long. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. Sometimes the internet is slow, or a delivery gets delayed, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, right in the heart of a neighborhood that never really stays quiet.
