Fortis Hospital

We are tucked into the Wa - 152 area of Shakarpur. If you know Shakarpur, you know the streets can get pretty tight and crowded. It is a very lived-in neighborhood with a lot of energy. The hospital fits right into the local scene here. It is not one of those massive campuses with miles of grass; it is a practical building that serves the people living right here in the lanes. We have been around for quite some time now. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood from the windows, like the vendors and the motorcycles. Inside, we try to keep things as quiet as possible. The reception area is usually full of folks from the surrounding blocks. Our nurses and ward boys are mostly locals who know the shortcuts around these streets. We do not have a big fancy lobby with waterfalls or anything like that. It is just some desks, chairs, and the pharmacy nearby. The halls are a bit narrow but we manage to get the stretchers through when we have to. We spend our days checking charts and keeping the floors clean. It gets busy during the monsoon when the roads outside get a bit messy, but we stay open. We are just a regular part of the Shakarpur community. People know where we are, and they just walk over when they need something. It is a straightforward place with people who have been working together for a long time.
