Fifth Quadrant Design Pvt Ltd

Fifth Quadrant Design is based in Vivek Vihar, over in the eastern part of Delhi. It is mostly a residential neighborhood, so it is a bit quieter than the big commercial districts. We work out of a converted space that has everything we need for our design work. It’s not a fancy studio with a lobby. It’s a room full of computers, drafting boards, and samples of wood or stone. We spend most of our time looking at plans and trying to figure out how to make a space work better. We are a small team and we often spend hours debating about small details like where a light should go. We don't have a receptionist, so if you come by, one of us will just walk over and open the door. We prefer to keep things simple and direct. Design can get very complicated and expensive if you let it, so we try to keep our feet on the ground. Most of our projects come from local people who have heard about us from their friends. We don't do a lot of advertising ourselves. We just show up every morning, drink some tea, and get to work on our drawings. It’s a good way to earn a living and we like the feeling of seeing a plan finally come to life. We just take it project by project.
