If you know the School Block area in Shakarpur, you’ve probably walked right past us at S-222. Being near the Gurudwara makes it easy for people to find us, which is helpful. Fabriworld Exim Private Limited is basically just us trying to handle exports and imports without losing our heads. It’s a tight space, but we’ve organized it so we can find everything we need. The streets around here can get pretty jammed, especially during the day, so we’ve learned to be patient with deliveries. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and checking boxes to make sure everything is right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the fabric gets where it’s supposed to go. Shakarpur is a lively place to work, even if the parking is a nightmare. We’ve been at this for a while now and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. We just focus on our own work and try to stay out of trouble. It's a lot of checking lists and making sure the quality is what it should be. Nothing too complicated, just honest work every day. Sometimes we hear the bells from the Gurudwara, and it’s a nice reminder of where we are. We have a small kettle in the corner for making chai.
