We are based out of IP Extension at Plot No-56, right in the Amarpali building. It’s a decent spot, though finding the exact entrance can be a bit tricky the first time you visit. Our setup at number 48 is nothing too big. We have a few desks pushed against the walls and a whole lot of cables running across the floor that we really should tidy up one day. The area around here is usually pretty active with people going to and from the nearby apartments. Most of us take the metro and then a short rickshaw ride to get here every morning. It gets quite bright in the office during the summer because of the way the sun hits the windows, so we usually keep the blinds halfway down. There is a small pantry where we keep the kettle for tea, and someone usually brings biscuits to share around four o’clock. We don’t really do big meetings; we mostly just shout across the room if we need something. The building itself is older, but it works for what we need. We spend our days answering calls, typing out reports, and keeping the paperwork moving. It is a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Most of the neighbors are also small offices like ours, so it’s a quiet enough environment to get things done. We usually lock up around six and head back to the metro station together.
