You can find our little shop, U/110, inside the Surya Arcade Building on Vikas Marg. We are right there in Shakarpur, which is a very busy part of East Delhi. The Lakshmi Nagar Metro Station is just a short walk away, so it is easy for people to find us if they are taking the train. It’s a small space, mostly filled with boxes and rolls of packing tape. Dtdc Cargo & Courier is what we do here. Every day is pretty much the same: people coming in with packages of all shapes and sizes. Some are sending stuff to family, and others are businesses sending out documents. It can get pretty cramped when there’s a big shipment waiting to be picked up. We have scales and desks and not much else. There’s always the sound of tape being pulled and pens scratching on forms. The traffic on Vikas Marg is usually loud, and you can hear the horns all day. We’ve been here for a while, and the locals know us. It’s a very hands-on job. We spend a lot of time weighing things and making sure labels are stuck on right so nothing gets lost. It isn't a fancy office with leather chairs. It’s a functional spot where things get moved from one place to another. We just try to get through the daily pile of parcels and make sure everyone gets their receipt. It is a routine we are used to.
