Drish Shoes Ltd.

Down here in Patparganj at the Dsidc estate, we spend most of our time thinking about leather and soles. Drish Shoes has been at this B-2 spot for quite a bit. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machines or trucks loading up nearby. The air usually smells a bit like glue and leather, which you get used to after the first week. We aren't trying to be some high-fashion boutique with fancy lights. It’s a factory setup where people are actually cutting and stitching things together every day. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer, and we have to keep the fans going full blast just to stay focused on the work. We see a lot of workers coming in and out from the metro or taking the local buses. Patparganj isn’t the quietest place to work, but it’s where things get made. We just keep our heads down and try to get the shoe counts right for the week. The office part is tucked away in a corner with a few computers that have seen better days. We eat lunch together sometimes, just talking about whatever is happening in the news or our own families. It’s a steady pace, nothing too crazy unless a big order is due. We’ve just been doing our thing at this address for years and don't plan on changing much.
