Dr. Meena Sharma Clinic

Shakarpur is one of those places where everyone is always moving. We are located in Pawan Complex at A4, which is a building that has seen a lot of people come and go over the years. Our clinic is tucked in there among other shops and offices. It gets pretty loud outside with the street noise and people shouting, but inside we try to keep things a bit more orderly. It is a simple setup with some chairs for people to wait on and a desk where we handle the paperwork. Dealing with the public in this part of Delhi means you meet all kinds of folks. Some are in a hurry, others want to sit and talk for an hour. We just take it as it comes. The lights in the hallway flickered for a week before they got fixed, but that is just how it is in these older complexes. We spend most of our time looking at charts and talking to patients who live nearby. It is a local place, nothing more. We don't have any shiny signs or anything, just the name on the door. It is mostly people from the blocks around Shakarpur who find us. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We just keep the doors open and do the work that needs doing without much fuss or bother. Sometimes it's hot, sometimes it's cold, but the clinic stays open regardless for anyone who needs to drop in.
