Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd

This is our spot at 181-B in the Garud Apartments. We are tucked away in Pocket-IV over in Mayur Vihar Phase I. It's a residential kind of area, so it's a bit quieter than the main stations. We run this part of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd from here. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes since it's an apartment building. We have a few rooms set up with our equipment and files. People in the building know us as the metro folks. We don't have a big reception desk or a lobby. You just come up and see us. It is handy being in Mayur Vihar because the connectivity is good for the staff. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and schedules. Sometimes the neighbors pop by to ask about the train timings or if there are delays. We don't mind that. It's a small team here, just a handful of us making sure everything is logged correctly. The rooms are a bit cramped when we have a lot of paperwork, but we make it work. We've been in this pocket for some time now. It’s a plain place with normal furniture. We don't do anything flashy. Most days it is just the sound of typing and the tea kettle going. We like the local feel of being in a housing complex. It keeps us grounded and connected to the people who actually use the trains. We just do our work and go home like anyone else.
