Delhi Chicken Plaza

You can find us at 11/417 in Lalita Park. It is a neighborhood where everyone seems to know everyone else's business. We have been running this chicken shop for a while now and it has its ups and downs. Some nights the line is out the door and other times we are just sitting around waiting for someone to walk in. The shop is simple. We have the counters, the storage, and a few lights that flickers sometimes. We don't use any fancy packaging or have a website. People just know we are here because of the sign outside and the smell of the food. It gets pretty cramped inside when we have a lot of orders to fill. We just keep our heads down and get to work. Dealing with fresh poultry means long hours and lots of cleaning. We are just regular people trying to make a living in this part of Delhi. The street outside can be a bit of a nightmare with parked bikes everywhere. We've had the same neighbors for years and we all look out for each other. It’s a basic life, but it works for us. We don't need any big advertisements because the word gets around the park well enough. Sometimes the supply is late but we manage. We just keep the knives sharp and wait for the next person to come through the door. That is all there is to it for us.
