Delco Brushes

If you come down to Lakshmi Nagar, near the Akshardham Mandir, you’ll find us at House No 2 in the J Extension. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but everyone knows the big temple nearby, so that helps people find their way. We make brushes here at Delco Brushes. It sounds like a boring thing to do, but there’s actually a lot that goes into it. We have different kinds of bristles and handles lying around everywhere. The workshop is usually a bit dusty because of all the materials we use. We start pretty early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Being so close to the temple means we hear the bells sometimes, which is nice. It’s a family-style setup, so there’s no big hierarchy or fancy titles. We just get the orders done and pack them up for the distributors. The street outside is narrow, so when a delivery truck comes, everything else has to stop for a minute. We’ve had this spot for years and the neighbors are all like family. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the brushes are sturdy enough for whatever job they’re needed for. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them. It’s just normal work life for us here.
