Deep Antyodaya Foundation

Our base is at B-21 in the S.F.S Flats over in Mayur Vihar Phase 3. It's a residential sort of area, so it's not like being in a big commercial hub. We like it that way because it keeps us close to the people we’re actually trying to help. Deep Antyodaya Foundation has been running out of this pocket for some time now. The flat is a bit small for an office, but we’ve managed to fit in the desks and the filing cabinets. You’ll usually find one of us drinking tea and going over papers late into the evening. It’s not a glamorous job, and there are days when it feels like we aren't making much progress, but we keep showing up anyway. The neighbors are nice, and they know what we’re about. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing materials. We’d rather put that into the actual foundation work. It’s just a straightforward operation here. We don't have a lot of rules about how things look, as long as the work gets done and the records are kept straight. Mayur Vihar is a good place to be, and being in the flats means we're right in the middle of the community life every single day. We keep the kettle on and the door unlocked for anyone who needs to stop by.
