Dave Eye Centre

Dave Eye Centre is located at B-14 on Vikas Marg in Laxmi Nagar. If you know where Walia Nursing Home is, we are right near it. This part of Laxmi Nagar is always packed with people and cars, so it’s quite a lively place to work. We spend our days looking at eyes and testing people for glasses. The machines we use are the most important thing in the room, so they take up most of the space. The rest of the clinic is pretty basic. We have a small display of frames, but we don't try to push them on anyone like a salesman would. Most people come here because they’re having trouble reading or their eyes are itching from the Delhi pollution. Vikas Marg is so noisy that sometimes I have to ask patients to repeat themselves. The waiting area is small, so it feels crowded even if there are only four or five people there. We’ve had the same staff for a few years now, so we know how to work around each other without getting in the way. It’s a lot of work keeping everything clean because of all the dust from the main road. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just help people see a bit clearer and then they go back out into the bustle of Laxmi Nagar. Usually, the afternoons are the busiest time for us, especially after schools and offices close.
