Das English World

Our place is at 152/D on the first floor in Krishna Nagar. It’s the West Azad Nagar side of the neighborhood. Das English World is basically a few rooms where we sit down with people and go over grammar and speaking. The stairs are a bit steep, and the building is older, so it has that classic Delhi feel to it. Inside, the walls are mostly covered with charts or lists of words. We have a few rows of chairs and some old wooden tables that have seen a lot of use over the years. It’s not a fancy language school with air conditioning in every corner, but the fans keep the air moving well enough. We hear the street vendors shouting outside during the day, which can be a bit distracting when you’re trying to explain a difficult sentence. Most of our students are local kids or adults from around Krishna Nagar who want to improve a bit. We keep a lot of books stacked up in the back room, and there’s always a faint smell of old paper. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just enough for people to know they’ve reached the right door. It’s a humble spot, and we like the fact that it feels like a part of the local community. We just open the windows, start the lesson, and hope the students learn something useful before they go home.
