Candela Foundation

Our foundation is based over in East Gokalpur, in E-Block. The address is E-1A/8A. It’s a busy part of East Delhi, and our building is right in the thick of it. We have a couple of rooms that we use for everything. One room is mostly for storage and the other is where we actually sit and work. It’s nothing fancy, just some desks we got secondhand and a few chairs that don't quite match. We started this because we saw a need in this neighborhood. Most of our work is just talking to folks and trying to solve small problems before they get big. We don't have a lot of high-tech stuff. There’s a printer that jams occasionally and a computer that takes a few minutes to wake up. We usually have the windows open to let some air in, even if it gets a bit noisy from the street. We’re just regular people who live around here and want to spend our time doing something useful. Some days are slow and we just tidy up, other days it feels like everyone is coming by at once. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything, just us doing the work day by day. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours and we are proud of it. We just keep our heads down and do the jobs.
