Budaniya Book Shop

Budaniya Book Shop is located at U-86 in Shakarpur. We are quite near the Laxmi Nagar Metro station, which is lucky because that area gets incredibly crowded with traffic. If you’ve ever walked through the lanes of Shakarpur, you know it’s full of students and young people living in PGs. Our shop is right in the middle of all that energy. It’s not a huge place, just a regular storefront where we keep as many books as we can fit. The walls are lined with shelves from floor to ceiling. Often, we have to use a small stool to reach the stuff at the top. The street outside is always noisy with horns and people walking to the metro, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend our days answering questions about different editions and checking if we have certain notes in stock. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We don’t do any fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s just books and more books. Sometimes the electricity goes off for a bit, and we just open the door wider to let some light in. Most of our regulars are students from the coaching centers nearby who are looking for something specific for their exams. We just try to keep the place running and make sure the right books get to the people who need them. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do.
