Bhamrah Foundation

Bhamrah Foundation is found in the Shakarpur area of East Delhi. We are specifically located at F-21 on the first floor of the Dwarkashish Building, A-158. Shakarpur is a really crowded place, and the building we are in has all sorts of other small businesses. You have to navigate through a lot of stairs and hallways to find us. Once you’re inside, it’s just a normal office with some files, a few chairs, and a calendar that’s usually a month behind. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. We are more focused on the work we do every day. We handle various tasks and try to be a resource for people who don't know where else to go. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a couple of noisy fans going. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or any of that corporate stuff. We just know what needs to be done and we try to do it. The people working here are just regular folks from the city who wanted to do something meaningful. We often eat lunch together at our desks and talk about the neighborhood. It’s a busy, sometimes messy way to work, but it feels right for us. We’ve been in Shakarpur long enough to feel like part of the furniture. We just take each day as it comes and handle whatever shows up at the door.
