If you are looking for us, we are right down in the basement of the building at Bahubali Enclave. It is easy to miss if you aren't watching for the Central Bank of India ATM, which is the main landmark around here. The clinic focuses on the old Kerala ways of treatment. It gets a bit quiet down in the basement, which is actually nice because the street noise doesn't reach us as much. Most days, it smells like various oils and herbs being prepared. We have been here for a while now, handling the daily flow of people coming in for their traditional sessions. It’s not a big fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. We just have the treatment rooms and the space where we keep the supplies. The staff here mostly just gets on with their work. Sometimes the ATM upstairs has a long line and people wander down here by mistake, but usually, it’s just the regulars who know where we are. We see people with all sorts of aches and pains. The basement stays fairly cool even when the weather outside gets really hot. There is no big receptionist desk with a computer; it is more about the hands-on work we do in the back. We open up in the morning and stay until the last appointment is finished. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we do here every day.
