Bata Store

This Bata Store is located at F-2/14 in Vijaychowk, which is a well-known part of Krishna Nagar. It’s a busy corner, and we see a lot of foot traffic every single day. Most people in India grew up wearing these shoes, so we get everyone from school kids to elderly grandparents coming in. The shop is organized but can get quite messy during the holiday sales when everyone is looking for a bargain. We have a small staff, and we’re usually busy running back and forth to the storeroom to find the right sizes. The floor is made of that standard white tile you see everywhere, and it’s seen a lot of shoes over the years. We don't have a complicated way of doing things. We just show people what we have and let them try things on. Sometimes the queue at the billing counter gets a bit long, and we have to apologize for the wait. Krishna Nagar is a lively place, and being at Vijaychowk means there is always something happening outside our door. We spend a lot of our time tidying up the displays because people move things around constantly. It’s a lot of standing and walking, but that’s the job. We aren't trying to be anything other than a reliable place for people to get their school or work shoes. It’s just a normal store for normal people who need decent shoes that don't fall apart.
