Asr Digital-Net Institute is situated at Main Jheel Khurenja Chowk in Shahdara. We’re on the first floor at 412-C. It’s a very busy intersection, so there’s always noise from the street below. We’ve been here for a while, teaching people about computers and the internet. It’s a practical place. We have a row of computers and some chairs, and that’s about it. We don't see the need for a lot of decorations. People come here to learn skills they can actually use, like how to use software or navigate the web. The staff is just a couple of guys who know their way around a PC. We aren’t professors or anything fancy, just people who have spent a lot of time with technology. The room can get a bit warm in the summer, but the fans keep things moving. We usually have people dropping in throughout the day to ask about classes. We don’t have a big corporate structure. If you have a problem, you just talk to whoever is standing there. It’s a very direct way of doing things. We’ve helped a lot of local folks get more comfortable with digital stuff. It’s not always easy, but we enjoy seeing people get the hang of it. Shahdara is a lively place to work, and being right at the chowk means we’re always in the middle of things. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else because this is where all the action is.
