Ashjyoti Foundation

You can find us over in East Delhi, specifically at Shakarpur. Our address is Da 4/A, right on the Main Vikas Marg. We are located within the F1 Macro Technologies space. It’s a very busy part of the city, and the road outside is almost always packed with cars and rickshaws. Ashjyoti Foundation is just a small group of us trying to do something useful. The office isn't very big, but we’ve managed to fit enough desks and chairs for everyone to have a spot. We don't have a big corporate budget, so we mostly use second-hand furniture and whatever else we could find. It’s not about how the place looks, though. We are more interested in just getting our work done. Most of us take the metro to get here because parking on Vikas Marg is a nightmare. The office is usually a bit cluttered with papers and files, but we know where everything is. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation out there. We just want to handle our local projects and help out people in the neighborhood. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes, especially when the noise from the street gets loud, but we’ve gotten used to it. We’re just ordinary people working hard in a small corner of East Delhi, trying to make things work one day at a time. It’s simple work.
