Arpan Auto India is located at 1/40, West Kanti Nagar. It’s a small shop in a busy part of town. If you walk down the street, you might miss us if you aren't looking for the number on the door. We deal with auto parts and it’s a pretty messy business most of the time. There are shelves filled with metal pieces and boxes from floor to ceiling. We’ve been in West Kanti Nagar for years and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The shop stays the same though. We have grease on our hands most days and the floor has its fair share of oil spots. It’s not a showroom where everything is shiny. It’s a place where we actually work on things. My brother and I usually open up around nine. We spend a lot of time searching through the stacks to find exactly what a customer needs. Sometimes it takes a while because we have so much stuff crammed in there. The tea seller across the way knows our order by heart. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the parts we sell are the right ones. It gets hot in the summer and the small window doesn't do much, but we have a big floor fan. West Kanti Nagar is home to us. 1/40 is where we spend most of our lives, surrounded by the smell of iron and rubber.
