Amanmala Research Foundation

The Amanmala Research Foundation is tucked away in Gali No-11 in Old Mustafabad. The address is D-54, Kh-352, and we are quite close to the Jama Masjid there. If you’ve ever been to this part of East Delhi, you know the lanes are very narrow and always full of life. Our office is just one of those small spaces in the middle of it all. It’s not an easy place to find if you aren't looking closely. We do our research work here, which mostly involves a lot of reading and writing. We have a few old computers and plenty of books stacked up against the walls. It’s not a fancy research lab with high-tech equipment or anything. It’s more of a humble workspace where we try to understand things better. The noise from the street and the calls to prayer from the mosque are part of our daily routine. We don’t mind it; it’s just the atmosphere of the place we work in. We often have tea together while we discuss whatever we’re working on at the moment. The furniture is a bit mismatched and the lighting isn't the best, but it’s our space. We aren't trying to be some world-renowned institution. We’re just a small group of people who are curious about things and want to document them. It’s a quiet life for the most part, despite the busy neighborhood outside our door. We just get on with it.
