Alcove Design Studio

Our little studio is at 104 Pankaj Chamber over in Preet Vihar. There’s a petrol pump nearby that everyone uses as a guide to find us when they get lost. Preet Vihar is a busy commercial hub in East Delhi, and Pankaj Chamber is one of those buildings where you’ll find all sorts of small businesses. Our studio isn’t massive, but we’ve made it work for our design projects. We have sketches and plans pinned to the walls and computers that stay on all day. The 110092 area has a lot of energy. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to find a parking spot nearby, so we usually suggest people take the metro if they can. Inside, it’s a bit of a creative mess sometimes with all the drawings and samples, but we know where everything is. We’ve been at this location for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the building. The sounds from the petrol pump and the main road are just background noise to us. It’s a decent place to work from, and we’re usually here until quite late finishing up our various projects. We share a common hallway with a few other offices, so it never feels lonely. It's a hardworking corner of Delhi and we have a small electric kettle for making our own tea in the afternoons.
