Tatvamayi Foundation

Our foundation is based out of Bediban, which is part of the Madhuban block near Chakia Pipra. It’s a rural area where everyone knows everyone else’s business, for better or worse. We decided to start Tatvamayi Foundation because there was a lot of talk but not much action happening in the village. We handle things from our base near the Damodarpur post office. It’s mostly just a room where we meet and talk about what the local families need. It could be anything from helping with kids' education to dealing with farming issues. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s just us, the locals, trying to use what we have to help out. Some days are frustrating because the resources are thin, and we can’t help everyone at once. But we do what we can with the time we have after our own work is done. It is very grassroots, nothing polished about it. We see a problem in the panchayat and we try to fix it without making a big fuss. People know where to find us if they need something. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. We’d rather spend that time actually doing the work in the village. It is a quiet life here, and we just want to make sure it is a good one for our neighbors in Bediban and the nearby areas as well.
