Duncan Hospital

We are situated right by the Nepal Custom Gate. If you know the border area, you know how busy it stays with all the trucks and people crossing over every single day. It’s a bit dusty around here because of the road work and the constant movement. Our building at Duncan Hospital is one of the first things people see when they come near the gate. We have been working out of this location for a long time. It isn’t a quiet place by any means. You can always hear the horns and the shouting of the guards and travelers. We open up early and stay late because the border never really seems to sleep. The rooms are basic and we don’t spend much on making things look pretty. We just focus on the people who walk in. A lot of folks from both sides of the gate come to us. We have a small team and we all know each other well. It’s a tough job sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it’s what we do. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the long shifts. The custom gate is a landmark for everyone in this town, and being right next to it means we see a bit of everything. It’s just a regular hospital trying to handle the daily rush of the border life.
