Shyam Ferroaloys

We are over in Durgapuro at Shyam Ferroaloys. It is not a fancy place by any means. Mostly we spend our days dealing with the metal and the heat from the furnaces. The dust gets everywhere and the yard is usually full of trucks coming and going at odd hours. We have a small office where the paperwork gets piled up on the desks. It is just a bunch of us working here and we have been at this spot for quite a while now. The coffee machine in the corner is a bit temperamental but it gets us through the mornings. Sometimes the weather in Durgapuro gets really humid and that makes the factory floor feel even hotter than usual. We don’t really have a big sign out front so people usually just look for the gates. It is a noisy environment with the machines running but that is how we like it. The local guys come in for their shifts and we just get on with the day. There are no corporate speeches or big meetings here. We just check the orders and see what needs to be moved out. It is practical work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. If you stop by you will probably find us in the back checking the inventory or sitting at the old wooden table near the entrance.
