Priyanka

Our shop is down on Philips Lane in the Benachity area of Durgapur. We are quite close to Mantra Gym, so we see a lot of people passing by on their way to work out. The shop is just called Priyanka. It is a small place, really. We sell various bits and pieces, mostly clothes or things for the home, depending on what we can get in stock at the time. It is not a big department store. We have piles of things here and there, and sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for. We have been in Benachity for many years. It is a busy part of town, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns being at the counter. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our sales; it is mostly just a notebook and a pen. It works well enough for us. The lighting in the back is a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. We don't do any big sales or promotions. People just know we are here and they come in when they need something. The shelves are made of wood and they have started to creak a bit when we move things around. It adds a bit of character to the place, I guess. We try to stay organized.
